Legal Disclaimer & Liability Waiver

Last Updated: March 1, 2026

The information, software payloads, and technical guides provided by leafbrowser.org (“we,” “us,” or “our”) on this website are for general informational, educational, and software archiving purposes only. All information and files on the site are provided in good faith, however, we make no representation or warranty of any kind, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, adequacy, validity, reliability, availability, or completeness of any information or software on the site.

1. Strict Non-Affiliation Declaration

leafbrowser.org is a fan-made, independent digital archive. We are NOT associated, affiliated, authorized, endorsed by, or in any way officially connected with:

  • Sam Lanning: The original developer of the legacy Leaf Browser Chrome Application.
  • M2216 Developer: The creator of the Leaf Browser Android APK.
  • Google LLC / Alphabet Inc.: The creators of the Android Operating System and ChromeOS.

All product names, logos, brands, trademarks, and registered trademarks are the property of their respective owners. Their use on this website is strictly for identification and educational archival purposes.

2. Institutional Liability & “Ban Risk” Warning (CRITICAL)

A core component of the legacy PC/ChromeOS Leaf Browser (v0.1.2 Alpha) is its underlying <webview> sandbox architecture. We acknowledge that this specific architecture is frequently researched and utilized to bypass standard Document Object Model (DOM) network tracking extensions, such as GoGuardian, Securly, or Blocksi, commonly deployed on managed institutional hardware.

By downloading, sideloading, or utilizing any guides provided on leafbrowser.org, you explicitly understand and agree to the following:

  • Zero Encouragement: We do not encourage, endorse, or incentivize the violation of local, corporate, or educational Acceptable Use Policies (AUP).
  • User Responsibility: You are solely responsible for your actions on managed network hardware.
  • Complete Indemnification: leafbrowser.org, its authors, and its hosting providers hold absolutely zero legal or financial liability for any disciplinary actions, academic suspensions, corporate reprimands, or physical device lockouts resulting from the deployment of this software.
  • Monitoring Realities: While the software may blind specific Chrome-level digital telemetry, it provides absolutely zero protection against OS-level deep-packet inspection (DPI) at the network router level, nor does it protect against physical screen monitoring.

3. The “Smart Bridge” Educational Clause

Due to the fragmented history of the Leaf Browser ecosystem, the application does not exist natively on all platforms.

For platforms where a native application does not exist (such as specific iOS/iPhone environments), we provide educational installation guides advising the use of third-party web profile configurations or lightweight marketplace alternatives (e.g., “We Browser”). We do not host, distribute, or claim to own native .exe or .ipa files unless officially released by the original open-source developers. Any iOS configuration guides, emulator tutorials, or proxy-loop instructions (e.g., LambdaTest/Browserling bridges) provided on this site are for strict informational and network-testing purposes only.

4. Technical Verification & “As Is” Software Provision

We take immense pride in our software verification process. The .zip repository payloads and .apk files hosted on our servers are actively cross-referenced against VirusTotal APIs to ensure 0/64 malware detections.

However, all software is provided strictly on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis.

  • The “Uninstall” Technical Disclaimer: Mobile modified applications or alternate APKs cannot coexist with original Play Store versions sharing the same package signature. By downloading the Android APK (v1.0.1), you acknowledge that you must manually uninstall any conflicting official applications first to prevent the standard 'App Not Installed' operating system error.
  • Hardware Limitations: The legacy ChromeOS application natively loads uncompressed background DOM instances. We are not liable for high CPU load, “Black Screen” rendering failures, or hardware crashes resulting from attempting to run multiple isolated tabs on low-spec hardware (e.g., 4GB RAM Chromebooks). Users are expected to utilize the software’s native “Unload Protocol” to manage their own physical memory.

5. External Links Disclaimer

Such external links are not investigated, monitored, or checked for accuracy, adequacy, validity, reliability, availability, or completeness by us. We do not warrant, endorse, guarantee, or assume responsibility for the accuracy or reliability of any information offered by third-party websites linked through the site.
